Rules for Listing

When you sell on KAN-PIC there are certain rules you need to follow. We have these rules in place to help make KAN-PIC a safer place for everyone.

Before you list an item, you should review and understand these rules because we hold all our sellers responsible for following them. If you do not, you may be subject to a range of actions, including limits of your buying and selling privileges and suspension of your account.

Rules about the kinds of items you can list

The following items are prohibited and restricted items on KAN-PIC:

  • Adult Only category

  • Alcohol

  • Counterfeit currency and stamps

  • Credit cards

  • Currency, selling

  • Drugs and drug paraphernalia

  • Electronic surveillance equipment – examples include wiretapping devices and telephone bugging devices

  • Embargoed goods and prohibited countries

  • Firearms, weapons, and military equipment

  • Illegal government documents, IDs, and licenses

  • Government, transit, and shipping-related items – examples include airplane operations manuals, subway employee uniforms, and U.S. Postal Service (USPS) mailbags

  • Hazardous, restricted, or regulated materials – examples include explosives, fireworks, and refrigerants

  • Human remains and body parts

  • Items encouraging illegal activity – examples include an eBook describing how to create methamphetamine

  • Lockpicking devices

  • Mailing lists and personal information

  • Medical drugs, devices, and healthcare – examples include prescription drugs, contact lenses, pacemakers, and surgical instruments 

  • Multi-level marketing, pyramid, and matrix programs

  • Offensive material – examples include ethnically or racially offensive material and Nazi memorabilia 

  • Pesticides

  • Prescription drugs

  • Illegal services

  • Recalled items

  • Stamps

  • Stocks and other securities

  • Stolen property

  • Surveillance equipment

  • Tobacco

    • Intellectual property with protected copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights that you do not own.

    • Listings that do not offer anything for sale or those that offer intangible items are not allowed. A listing also should not include personal opinions, political views, or offensive comments about KAN-PIC members.

    Rules about how you list items

    • Become a better seller by providing excellent customer service and following the guidelines in this policy.

    • Hateful, offensive, profane, or vulgar language is not allowed, though there are a few exceptions.

    • List items in the appropriate category and describe items accurately.

    • You cannot negotiate offers to buy or sell outside KAN-PIC using KAN-PIC. 

    • You must accurately describe your item's location.
