About

I am a Senior Data Scientist (with focus on optimization) at the Boston Consulting Group.

Prior to that, I have been a tenured assistant professor at the Delft University of Technology, Delft Institute of Applied Mathematics, being part of the Optimization group. I work mostly on the theory of optimization under uncertainty with continuous and integer decision variables. Also, I am interested in applications of robust optimization to real-world problems in engineering and operations management. In the period of 2019-2022 my position was financed by The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) Veni grant.

In the years 2017-2020, I was an assistant professor of operations research at the Department of Econometrics of the Erasmus University Rotterdam.

I have done my Ph.D. at Tilburg University under supervision of  Prof. Dick den Hertog and Prof. Bertrand Melenberg. My Ph.D. position was financed by NWO Research Talent grant "Finding robust adjustable solutions of uncertain decision problems". After that, I spent one year as a postdoctoral fellow at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management of the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, hosted by Prof. Aharon Ben-Tal
