About Me

If you would have asked me a couple of years ago where I expected to be at this point in my life I could not have predicted this.  Although I have never been afraid of technology, I have never exactly embraced it either.  I tend to approach new situations by observing and being extremely cautious.  I have been reluctant to formally join the world of social media out of the desire to preserve my anonymity.  It seems as if this is no longer an option as I continue on this journey towards a Masters in Education Technology.

In the fall I will be starting my 11th year teaching high school science.  I am credentialed and have taught Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Peer Connectors.  This year I will be added a student run technology team to my duties of CSF Club adviser and Science Olympiad co-coach.  The integration of  technology into my classes is another challenge that I am facing as well.  The implementation of 1:1 tablets, along with coursework in the Masters of Education Technology program has definitely helped me to reevaluate how and what I teach.
