Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship Program

To apply online visit:

-Have completed high school or plan to complete high school by spring 2016 with plans to enroll at a community college for the first time in fall 2016
-Be younger than 30 years old
-Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical program at an accredited non-profit community college in the United States
-Demonstrate critical financial need (must be eligible to receive the Federal Pell Grant as determined by completion of the FAFSA)
-Be involved in community service activities
-Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
-Have United States citizenship

-510 Scholarships
-Up to $2,500 (depending on the length of the program)

-Available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as any students currently registered in any accredited post-secondary institution.

William & Brenda Ehr-Jackson Scholarship

-Any applicant that will be enrolled at a postsecondary institution during the 2016-2017 academic year is eligible to apply. Winners will be selected on the following requirements:
-Student needing financial assistance
-Student who enjoys learning
-Student who values community
-Student who will benefit from higher education

Monetary amounts will range from $200-$1,000

Iowa PGA Foundation Charlie Burkart Scholarship

-Any graduating high school senior who is a resident of the state of Iowa or Western Illinois is eligible
-Winners are selected on the basis of their interest and activity in golf, the potential for future contributions to the game, leadership skills/community involvement, then on their academic ability and financial need.
$1,500 each year of full-time attendance for four years at a college or university of your choice
