Elks National Foundation: 2015 Most Valuable Student Scholarship
-Most Valuable Student Scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree, on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), in a U.S. college or university.
-Any high school senior who is a citizen of the United States is eligible to apply.
-Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks.
-College students are not eligible to apply.
-Applicants must be citizen of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.
-Male and female students compete separately.
-Applicants are judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.
500 Scholarships (ranging from $1,000-$12,500 per year) will be awarded for four years:
-2 first-place awards of $50,000
-2 second-place awards of $40,000
-2 third-place awards of $30,000
-14 (fourth-place) awards of $20,000
-480 runners-up awards (fifth-place) of $4,000

AXA Achievement Scholarship
- Be a United States
citizen or legal resident living or claiming residency in one of the 50 U.S.
States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
-Be a current high school senior who plans to enroll full-time in an accredited
two-year or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire
2014-2015 academic year.
-Demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in
school, community or work-related activities.
-Special consideration will be given to achievements that empower society to
better face risk through education and action in areas such as financial,
environmental, health, and/or emergency preparedness
52 $10,000 scholarships will be awarded (1 to a recipient from each U.S. State, the
District of Columbia and Puerto Rico)
10 of these recipients will be selected to receive an additional $15,000
