Topics

A kurzuson áttekintjük a kognitív kutatás során leggyakoribb elemzési módszereket: általános elemzési módszereket, néhány matematikai eljárást, és statisztikai eljárásokat. A kurzus a leggyakrabban használt szoftvertípusokat és azok használatát is bemutatja. A matematikai és statisztikai részekben azokra az aspektusokra koncentrálunk csak, amelyek a kognitív kutatás szempontjából relevánsak. Számos vitatott kérdést és félreértést is megtárgyalunk.

Requirements

The next two requirements should be fulfilled. (Second, optional topics should be approved, the deadline is 12 October)

• • Exam with practical tasks. At the end of the term time.

  • Choose one of the topics below. Deadline is the date of the last lecture.

    • Create a new o extend an existing Wikipedia article in English or in Hungarian in statistics or data analysis topics (e.g., statisztika téma) (for Hungarian speakers, this might help: leírás). You can translate the article from another language, if the source language includes high quality material. Minimum length is 6000 characters (with spaces) for new material, and 8000 characters for translations or for extensions.

      • A few Hungarian articles from the last years: A statisztika helytelen használata, Feltáró faktorelemzés, Ellenőrző faktorelemzés, Mintavételi hiba, Lineáris diszkriminancia-analízis

    • (Only in Hungarian) Új szócikk készítése vagy kiegészítése a Statisztika a pszichológiai kutatásban weboldalra. Legkevesebb 5000 karakter szóközzel.

  • CogStat

    • Localize it to a new language, or improve and/or extend previous localisations.

    • Propose new procedures with appropriate justifications.

      • A few examples (mostly the topics with the "question" label)

      • Additional resources for further ideas

  • Analyze your previous results with some non-traditional way.

    • Consult m about the chosen topic and methods.
