I am a 5th-year accounting PhD candidate at The University of Texas at Austin. I expect to graduate in May 2018.

I grew up in the Bay Area of California (in a suburb of Oakland). While an undergraduate at UC Berkeley, I volunteered with VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) at EBALDC and I discovered I like taxes! I worked at Deloitte Tax LLP and focused on tax compliance and consulting for real estate partnerships. I am a CPA (inactive No. 111675, California). Prior to starting the PhD program, I earned a Masters of Science in Statistics at California State University, East Bay. If you are interested in taxes, click here for tax art and information.
