The town of Wengen is located in the heart of the Swiss Alps, in Berner Oberland, an area known for its amazing panoramic views. On a stunning pastoral area, the town overlooks the breathtaking valley of Lauterbrunnen and the beautiful waterfalls created in the high peaks of the Jungfrau, Mönch and Eiger Mountains.
Palace Hotel
The hotel is located in Berner Oberland, faces the Jungfrau mountain and the amazing valley and waterfalls viewed from the hotel's veranda. The hotel is a short walking distance from the center of Wengen and from its central train station. Close to the pedestrian mall in the heart of enchanting scenery, it is but a stone’s throw away from the variety of options for entertainment and activities offered by the town.

The train station makes Wengen accessible to travelers from all of Europe. The town’s main street offers coffee shops, prestigious stores and boutiques, spa and sports center, beautiful gardens, amusement parks and a pedestrian mall.
Wengen is a great starting point for fascinating excursions. Among them: mountain railway train excursion from Wengen to Jungfrau mountain called “The Top of Europe”, where you will find a host of attractions. Giessbach Falls, a boat ride finds you in the town of Brienz. Trümmelbach Falls, one of the most amazing phenomenon of nature, Luzern, one of the most beautiful towns in Switzerland. Trip to three mountain passes: Grimsel Pass, Furka Pass and Susten Pass. Take an easy stroll in Aare Gorge. The village of Kandersteg / Lake Oeschinen and Lake Blausee (“The Blue Lake”).

Getting to Wengen:
By Plane:
Zurich-Kloten is the nearest international airport (travel time approx. 2.5 hours by car and 3 hours by train), but also the EuroAirport in Basel-Mulhouse is within approx. 3 hours. In addition, the Bern-Belp Airport with some international flights is reached within just an hour by car. 

By Train:
Wengernalp Mountain RailwayTraveling from any place in Switzerland (or neighboring country), take international train connections to Interlaken-Ost where you need to change on to BOB trains going to Lauterbrunnen. Then, in Lauterbrunnen you get on the Wengernalp Mountain Railway that takes you up to Wengen (approx. 15 minutes from Lauterbrunnen).

By Car:
Coming from any direction, take Highway A6 and/or A8 to Interlaken; take Exit "Wilderswil" and follow the main road via Wilderswil to Lauterbrunnen, where you park your car at the Public Garage at the entrance of the village, and get on the Wengernalp Mountain Railway that takes you up to Wengen (approx. 15 minutes from Lauterbrunnen).

The alpine town of Wengen offers a wide range of unique options for invigorating activities such as: walking paths with incredible alpine venues, accessible directly from the hotel. There are paths suitable for everyone, from easy strolls to mountain climbing. Ice-skating rinks, paragliding, miniature golf, tennis, bike riding, horseback and pony back riding, horse-drawn carriages, swimming, fishing, various types of spas and more.
