Presence of Attendants - Refer to I.2 2. Agenda Selection - Refer to INET-91-001 3. SG-INET PLAN - Brief overview on INET-91-006, ANC-91-012 & 013 - Accept INET-91-005 with modifications as follows: Meeting date: 14:00 on 4th Thursday every odd month Meeting place: Seoul and Daeduk in turn 4. Trip report - PACCOM: refer to INET-91-003 - AP CCIRN: refer to INET-91-004 5. IP address allocation principle - OSIA is not the proper contact point for address request since OSIA cannot access network. OSIA will be the contact point when they are ready to access the network. - Ask ANC to solve the networking issue with OSIA. - Accept INET-91-002 with modifications as follows: Contact point sds@hwarang.postech.ac.kr - Mr. Kughang Cho will collect the current IP addresses used in Korea and release the information by the next SG INET meeting. - Need to clarify to NIC how many unallocated B and C class addresses can be allocated to Korea at one time. . 6. Backbone configuration review - Current interconnections between TCP/IP networks -------------------------------(CS Dept.) | SNU KAIST-----------SERI-----------*(Semiconduct Institute) (Seoul) (Seoul) | | | | | | | | | | | | KAIST-----------SERI------------Chungnam Univ. (Daeduk) (Daeduk) | | || |||| | | |+-----ETRI----+||+--Chungpuk Univ.-+ | | || | | || | | || | +---Postech-----++--*Kyungpuk Univ----+ *: will be connected within a couple of months. Hosts at KREN which are connected to other networks are not performing gateway function. - We need to gather a current situation of the networks. It was requested that each party submit the status at the next SG INET meeting. Current Map and map after six months including line speed, interface, machine type, OS, link protocol the third level domain list - Connections between SERI and KAIST KAIST didn't have the fixed plan to change to the router yet. SG INET requested to announce their plan via E-mail as soon as possible. SERI will cooperate with KAIST to accelerate the process. 7. Domain name - The third level domain names should be arranged consistently. It was suggested as a agenda at the next SG INET meeting. - It is not proper that universities use two kinds of domain names, i.e. AC and ED. It causes several problems since some universities are connected to Kreonet and HANA/SDN as well as Kren. The best way to solve the issue is to merge AC and ED into one. There are lots of AC hosts compared to ED, it was suggested that Kren changes its second level domain name to AC. Mr. Chung and Miss Kim will discuss at Kren and report the result at the next SG INET meeting. 8. Routing - It could be impossible to restrict the interconnections between networks, since it is a policy of each University or Institute. - If we arrange the routing protocol, the looping problems could be resolved. - Kughang Cho will make a proposal on routing to solve the issue at the next SG INET meeting. 9. Next meeting 1991. 9. 26 (Thursday) 14:00 SERI (The meeting room will be announced later.)
