Current Status: Four level domain scheme host.organization.{ac,co,go,re}.kr 2. Authorization - ANC delegates the authority of DNS operation to SG-INET. - SG-INET delegates the DNS operation to the NOC(Network Operation Center) as follows: KR and CO.KR: Hana/SDN AC.KR: KREN RE.KR and GO.KR: KREONet [Remarks: Hana will be responsible for the DNS operation of AC.KR until KREN is ready.] - NOC's can delegate third-level DNS operation (for e.g. kaist.ac.kr) to each organization. 3. RFC822 Mailbox Names and MHS Names. RFC822 mail box names can be mapped to MHS names as follows. - Secondary domain names of AC, CO, RE, GO will be mapped to PRMD's of KR.AC, KR.CO, KR.RE and KR.GO. - Current ad hoc user name (for e.g. Hong or Kildong) will be mapped to SN(Surname) and GN(GivenName). - Example: kdhong@cs.kaist.ac.kr Domain Component X.500 Tree ================ ========== kr C = KR - ADMD = ANY ac PRMD = KR.AC kaist O = KAIST cs OU = CS kdhong SN = Hong GN = Kildong References [Craigie 91] J.
