Public Debate Program Ice Breaker

 

Saturday, January 30 2010 (Middle School)

Sunday, January 31, 2010 (High School)

 

Registration opens at 9:00am, Round 1 begins at 11:00, and students depart at 5:00pm.

 

Schedule:

Registration: 9:00 –9:30

Post color teams: 9:30-10:00

Color Group Meet Up: 10:0010:45

Round 1: 11:00

Round 2: 12:15

Lunch: 1:15

Round 3: 2:00

Round 4: 3:00

Awards 4:30

 

Topics:

Saturday (Middle School)


1.      President Obama does not deserve the Nobel Prize.


2. It should be illegal to sell coffee or coffee related products to minors.

 

 

Sunday (High School)

1.      Civilian nuclear power should be expanded.

2.      Cyber-bullying is a form of protected speech.

 


*The top two teams of each division will qualify to go to the

United States to participate in an international tournament.
