Father Michael J. McGivney officially chartered the Knights of Columbus as a fraternal benefit society in March 29, 1882

Formed to render financial aid to members and their families.
Today over 1.6 million Catholic men offer aid to sick, disabled and needy members and their families.

Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families
through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works.

Our local, San Gennaro chapter, named after one the patron Saint of Naples, is made up of 46 men dedicated to those founding principles of charity and fraternity.  We are working in our core services of
church, family, pro-life, youth, council and community.

  • We sponsor the San Vincenzo Abbey work day that is open to all parish and members of the commmunity that wish to help.  Next day is Saturday 19 March, assemble 0730 leave at 0745.
  • Abbey work day consists of heavy yard work.  You will need to bring work clothes, water and a lunch.

All open to the parish and public, not just Knights.
