Rules for the Queen of Hearts Raffle
Knights of Columbus
Council #10858 and Council #16369
1. There will be a specific raffle board for this game. The board has 54 sealed
numbered cards. Under the sealed cards and randomly placed is a deck of
poker cards with 2 Jokers. A tumbler or similar device shall be used for mixing
raffle tickets. Tickets shall be mixed in public view.
Playing the Queen of Hearts Raffle Game
1. Tickets will be sold for six for $5.00, thirteen for $10.00, or twenty six for $20.00.
2. Drawing date will be each Friday, 8:00 PM at Papa Joe's in Orland park.
3. Tickets will be sold at the following locations:
Papa Joe's
14459 S. La Grange Rd.
Orland Park, Il. 60462
St. Francis of Assisi parish office
15051 S. Wolf Rd.
Orland Park, Il. 60467
St. Michaels parish
14327 Highland Ave.
Orland Park, Il. 60462
4. Ticket sales will end at 7:30 PM sharp at Papa Joe's each Friday.
5. Tickets must be filled out on location and can not be removed from the building.
6. Purchasers Must write their first and last name on the ticket legibly with a phone
number where they can be contacted. Any illegible tickets will be discarded.
Purchasers should also add the card number they want to reveal on the ticket.
If no card number is specified or the chosen number is not available, and the
purchaser is not present, the first available number on the board will be chosen.
7. Purchaser need not be present to win. The purchaser must leave valid contact
information on the ticket. If the Knights of Columbus cannot reach the purchaser
with the information provided within 14 days of the drawing, the winnings will be
forfeited back to the Knights of Columbus..
8. If the winning ticket holder picks the Queen of Hearts, they will receive 50%
of the pot. The Knights of Columbus will receive the other 50%. The proceeds
for the Knights of Columbus will be used for charitable uses.
9. All winners over the amount of $600.00 are required to fill out a W2-G (federal
tax withholding form). No money will be paid out until proper identification
and information for taxes is provided. All winning players are responsible for
and and all taxes. If a winner is unwilling or unable to provide W2-G
information, the prize money will revert to the Knights of Columbus.
10. If it appears that the Charitable Gaming License may expire prior to the Raffle
game being played out, then tickets will be sold and drawn the last night before
license expiration, until some one draws the Queen of Hearts and wins the
current pot.
11.After each drawing, remaining tickets will be destroyed and a new drawing will
begin for the next week.
12. If your ticket is drawn and you draw a pay card, you will receive the pay card
prize and the prize for that drawing.
13. Drawings will be held every Friday at 8:00 PM. One ticket will be drawn per
week until someone draws the Queen of Hearts. AT this time the raffle is played
out and a new game will start immediately the next Friday.
14.The jackpot will be capped at $100,000.00. If and when this amount is reached,
at the next drawing, tickets will be drawn until a winner is drawn, and the raffle
will end. A new game will begin the next Friday.
The prize payouts at each drawing will be as follows:
Ticket winner $50.00
Any Deuce $50.00
Jokers $100.00
Any Ace $30.00
Any King $20.00
Any Queen $100.00
Queen of Hearts 50% of Jackpot
