Lenten Fish Fry







The Council held a series of Lenten Fish Fry's on four consecutive Fridays beginning on February 12, 1016.

This was a new undertaking and required many volunteers in order to make it a success. Parishioners other Parish Ministries all assisted to make the events a huge success. Thanks to all those who volunteered their time and talents to the worthwhile endeavor.

Important Information Regarding Food Handler Permits

Food Training Info for Knights volunteering for Kitchen Help for Fish Fry et al.

The website for the County of Maricopa is www.maricopa.gov  .    Click on the link in the left margin labeled – Food Employee Training Information.

 

The test is offered on-line by independent vendors who charge between $ 7 to $10 to take an on-line test to pass the course which complies with the county requirement to become a food handler.   Once completed they will print a passing certificate which has to be taken to one of the local Maricopa County offices to complete the process.   

They take your photo and then print a card with your picture and dates that the card is valid.  They charge $5 for the photo.

 

The closest local office in our area is:       North Region Office – 15023 N. 75th St.  Scottsdale, AZ.    (480) 483-4703                    

This is located in the Scottsdale Airpark near the main terminal which is on the “Scottsdale Rd.” side.   Go east on Butherus Rd. and turn left onto 75th St. just before the parking lot for the airport terminal.   The hours are 9:00 AM to 11:30and 1:00 PM to 4:30 (Monday through Friday).    Locations, hours, and site map are available on the www.maricopa.gov website.  

 

The cards are good for all of the K of C food events.
