About Me
About Me
I am a senior research software engineer at the Netherlands eScience Center. My background is in Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, Knowledge Graphs, Semantic Web and Software Engineering. I was a principle investigator on the NWO-funded "Catch Me If You Can: Mapping EU Company Mobility & Abuse-Detection" project. In this project, I helped develop tools using Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning to extract structured information about EU companies from unstructured text in a variety of EU languages - represented ultimately as a "Knowledge Graph". I also helped develop open source tools to analyse this knowledge graph such as RelFinder which is inspired by the original Visual Data Web RelFinder tool and an extension to the Hypothes.is web annotation tool.
