 South Australian Branch Inc

KMEIA SA is a not-for-profit association which advocates music education for every child. We support music education in South Australia by providing access to a high quality music education for every Australian child from pre-school through to secondary school and beyond. Opportunities include music workshops, courses, conferences and publications. We are guided by current learning theory and the philosophy and approaches to music education initiated by Zoltán Kodály and by the Australian Arts Curriculum. The Kodály approach has been enriched and refined over time by generations of teachers.

Our Members comprise classroom teachers, music specialists, instrumental and vocal teachers, university lecturers and tertiary students across all levels (birth to secondary) and come from all sectors of education.

The Australian Kodaly Certificate (AKC)  took place during the April and July School Holidays 2016. Post-grad and Master's accreditation with Tabor Adelaide now available. View the AKC 'tab' on the left column to find out more info.
