KEI Board members at the IMEA Conference 2013
Carly Huhn is the new president of Kodály Educators
of Iowa. This fall is her seventh year teaching and her third year teaching
Kindergarten - 5th grade general music at Bowman Woods Elementary with
Linn-Mar Schools. She has taught in a variety of school settings including two years overseas, two years at a rural district, and now in a suburban setting. She has taken her Kodály Levels I and II at Drake University and completed Level III at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. She has also just finished my second summer of
graduate school at the University of St. Thomas.

Sonia Johnson graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Music degree. She holds a Mastery Kodály Certificate from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Sonia taught elementary general music for ten years at Cornell Elementary in the Saydel district. She also worked as a rehearsal assistant and a co-conductor with the Ames Children's Choirs for ten years. For three years she taught preschool music with Ames Music Studios. Sonia has served as member-at-large and president of KEI and is currently the chapter treasurer.
Sonia lives in Ames with her husband Chris and their three sons Eli, Hezekiah and Ian. She enjoys singing in the church choir and praise band and playing flute in the orchestra. Other interests include scrapbooking, reading and learning to play folk instruments.
Lee Randall graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Music Education in 2000 and with a Master of Music in 2007. She currently teaches 7th grade general Music and 8th grade guitar class at Southeast Polk Junior High. During the past ten years Lee has taught grades K-12 General, Instrumental, and vocal music. She has also taken Kodaly levels I and II as well as Orff I and II at Drake University. Lee and her husband Justin live with their three children outside of Norwalk, IA. Her other hobbies include gardening canning, and attempting to update the website!
