Happy New Year all and here's to a great year of tennis at Knutsford Tennis Club!!

All junior and adult coaching sessions resume from Saturday 9th and then each week night after that for 10 weeks. The coaching brochure is HERE to see all options. To register please text or email Mark direct.

The members junior club night is resuming from Friday 8th. Mark is changing the club night for this term as an experiment - it will be just 2 sessions. The first session being 4.30-6.00pm for primary school years 4,5 & 6, and the second session being 6.00-7.30pm for all secondary school years. Children are welcome to come and leave any time within these sessions as long as this is organised by the parents.

The adult club night on Tuesdays will be back up and running by Mark from Tuesday 12th and the Thursday club night run by the committee (Start date to be confirmed).

There are going to be many fantastic events this year for you to get involved with and have fun, so please keep an eye out on the clubs bulletins. The fun Colour run for one! Many themed and organised tournaments like the box leagues, strawberry and cream Wimbledon tournament, the mixed handicap tournament (if the weather allows this year!) Mark is going to try a couple of new ones - a junior and adult tournament and a touch tennis tournament - lots of fun! And don't forget our summer junior and adult teams in their respective leagues.

Any questions or suggestions you feel you would like to see happen at YOUR tennis club, then don't hesitate to contact Mark direct or one of the committee.

Come And See Our New Courts :))

Our new courts are in full operation now and are fantastic !!! The Handicap Tournament on Saturday November 14th   will be our first big event on the new courts so even if you can’t play on the day (sign up with Mark), pop down for some tea and cake.

We're planning a media launch on Tuesday 24th November that will coincide with Club Night, so our visitors can see the courts getting used (weather permitting!).  So please put the date in your diaries and hopefully we can get some play and show off our club to the local community.  We may even have a chairmen’s 4 on the night, so Sally, Steve and Ken be warned.!!

Tennis club branded clothing

We are now able to offer a range of KTC branded clothing through a company called IPROSPORTS. The cost of the clothing is very competitive and the tennis club receives a small percentage of the price to go towards our court refurbishment fund. The attached link will take you straight to the KTC section of the Iprosports website.

We had a visit on Tuesday from the Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne who came to see how the IF grant is being spent and to meet Mark and the kids on his camp.  There were security checks beforehand and a small cavalcade of heavy 4 wheel drives.  He had a good chat to everybody and was with us for about 20 minutes.  There were lots of photos and there should be a story in the Knutsford Guardian next week, giving good PR for the club.
