Wednesday 10th May: Primary Schools History Quiz 

Friday 12th May: 
8pm Lecture on Paddy Maher: his arrest, trial and execution by local historian Dave Dineen .  Paddy was a Knocklong man wrongly convicted of taking part in the Rescue of Sean Hogan (€5).  

10pm Traditional music in The Hill bar by The Badgers

The historic Moon Car will be at the lecture and the seminar on Saturday afternoon.  It will also tour local towns and villages on Saturday morning.

Saturday 13th May: 
10am Bus tour of local War of Independence Sites (Hospital, Kilteely, Dromkeen, Emly & more) (€20); For tickets call 086-847 1500
2pm Seminar on Cumann na mBan in the War (€5) with eminent speakers:
  • Mary McAuliffe, historian and author of "We were there; 77 women of the Easter Rising"
  • Liz Gillis is the author of 'Women of the Irish Revolution', 'Revolution in Dublin' and 'The Fall of Dublin'.
  • Helen Litton, historian and editor of Kathleen Clarke's memoir, Revolutionary Woman, and the author of 6 illustrated history books.
  • Panel discussion chaired by Pat McCarthy
5:30pm Wreath laying at the Railway plaque

8pm Concert by the Army Band of the 1st Brigade (€10 adults, €5 children u16).  For tickets call 086-847 1500 

Sunday 14th May: 

7:30pm The County Limerick Youth Theatre are pleased to present Agóid by Caitríona Ní Mhurchú. A play about protest in a post-Trumpian society. Commissioned by Youth Theatre Ireland in partnership with Axis Ballymun. Supported by The Community Foundation For Ireland in the Knocklong Community Center.  Tickets from Friar's gate box office: 063-98727.  Taking place in the Community Hall, Knocklong.
