In August we held our last luncheon meeting at the Antoinette Hotel and are looking forward to our first meeting at  Glenmore House, Surbiton. Our guest in August was the Deputy Mayor of Kingston upon Thames, Councillor  Mike Head. We invited him to be our speaker that day. He gave us a stimulating talk about ongoing and future developments in Kingston. Some of our members who are active in monitoring these plans expressed their strong feelings about them. This last meeting at the Antoinette was attended by twenty members. We may be getting on a bit but we are a lively lot; in fact our oldest member, Eddie Bevan, who was present is 104; seen in the centre of our group photo in a light grey suit.

Our members are retired or semi retired professional and businessmen. We meet once a month for a three course lunch followed by a speaker. In  future we shall meet at Grenmore House, Surbiton. Other events are organised by club members such as group visits or rambles.

Click on our Future Events page to see what is planned for each month. We are looking for ideas for more speakers, on any subject for the rest of 2017 and 2018.

If you are interested in becoming a member you are welcome to come as a visitor, Book your lunch by contacting  our Secretary  Chris Shires Tel:020 8977 6204 Email: chris.shires@tiscali.co.uk. Lunches cost £22.00. The annual membership fee is £15.00. We meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 12:15.  There is ample car parking space.
