Referee Certification Clinics

KMSL Referee Certification Clinics for the 2018 spring season have been finalized. 

 The clinics will be held at 2 locations:

Kettle Moraine YMCA BMO Harris Room 1111 W. Washington St.  West Bend, WI 53095 

            Jack Russell Memorial Library 100 Park Ave.  Hartford, WI 53027

New referees or referees that attended a 2017 KMSL clinic, but did not receive certification, are to attend both sessions of one of the certification clinics.

Referees that held 2017 KMSL, USSF or WIAA licenses can attend a re-certification clinic to obtain a 2018 KMSL license.

Referees that hold 2018 USSF or WIAA licenses are encouraged to audit a re-certification clinic in order to refresh their knowledge of the KMSL rules.  When registering, please choose an Audit clinic.


Referee Re-certification Clinics will be held on:

            Saturday January 20, 2018          10:00 am – 1:30 pm at the Jack Russell Library

            Saturday January 27, 2018          10:00 am – 1:30 pm at the Jack Russell Library

            Saturday, February 3, 2018          9:00 am – 12:30 pm at the KMYMCA BMO Harris Room

            Saturday, February 10, 2018        9:00 am – 12:30 pm at the KMYMCA BMO Harris Room

            Saturday, February 17, 2018        9:00 am – 12:30 pm at the KMYMCA BMO Harris Room


Referee Certification Clinics will be held in two sessions.

1st clinic is at the Jack Russell Library

        on Saturday, January 20, 2018 and Saturday January 27, 2018 from 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm 


             2nd clinic is at the KMYMCA BMO Harris Room

        on Saturday February 3, 2018 and Saturday February 10, 2018 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm     

3rd clinic is at the KMYMCA BMO Harris Room

    on Saturday February 17 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm and SUNDAY February 25 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

For certification, you must attend both sessions and be 12 years old before April 1, 2018 to be certified for the spring season. 


New referees and those that are re-certifying are required to attend the appropriate clinic and pass the 100 question test given at the end of the clinic.  A minimum of 75% is required to pass.  Referees that are auditing a re-certification clinic will not take the test. 

The on-line registration form must be completed prior to the clinics.  If changes are required after the form is completed, please contact Ed Kreiter at the email address below.  Do not complete another form.

Clinic ending times are approximate.  Referees should be prepared for the clinics.  Bring paper, pencil and something to drink.  Snacks are allowed.  

Current referees should review the KMSL Rules and FIFA Laws of the Game.  

New referees will have time to study between sessions. 

Fees will not be collected during the clinic.  KMSL member clubs will be invoiced. Contact your club Director of Referees for information regarding how the club handles the fees.
