Two New Resources Launch During Breast Cancer Awareness Month

It's October--Breast Cancer Awareness Month--and I am pleased to announce that two new breast cancer resources I worked on were released in the past week. First is a massive rewrite of Breastcancer.org's section on breast reconstruction, a project taken on in partnership with the Center for Restorative Breast Surgery in New Orleans. I worked closely with my editor at Breastcancer.org and the lead surgeons there to develop this new resource for women weighing reconstruction options. I worked with another client, the Young Survival Coalition, on a new 42-page booklet for younger breast cancer survivors (diagnosed before age 35) who have passed the five-year mark after treatment. Beyond 5 Years: A Navigator for Long-Term Survivors presents an overview of the physical, financial, and emotional challenges that longer-term survivors can continue to face--challenges that are often unique to younger women.
