From November 2016, Manu is a Doctoral Student at the Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Group at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zürich, Switzerland (ETH Zürich). His research advisors are Prof. Dr. Konrad Schindler and Dr. Emmanuel Baltsavias. He received Master Degree in Electrical Engineering from the RWTH Aachen University, Germany and Bachelor Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from University of Kerala, India.

At the moment, he works on an inter-disciplinary topic (intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Climate Change research) towards his PhD. His current focus is on developing novel Computer Vision algorithms for Lake Ice Monitoring, thereby trying to add his penny to the Climate Change research.

Manu had the opportunity to be a part of the Computer Vision research groups at the
RWTH AachenIndian Institute of Science and Fraunhofer FKIE.  He has also worked on Vision problems such as Human Action Recognition and Scene Understanding.
