Principal/ Vice Principal Update
i. Vice Principal Mary - PPE Supply Status
Items have been supplied by ASD & Klatt Elementary
Have Washable Items, Washer & Dryer on Site
(- Need Laundry Detergent? Bleach? )
Ii. Principal Kelsey - $2000 of PPE Purchased by School
Would like to work with PTA to have additional PPE
Supplies in Reserves for all students/staff to return to school.
Iii. Status - PPE Inventory List in Google Drive - (Please for for K-2)
Update as Needed. Will follow up in one week at next Klatt Staff Mtg - 11/18

Organization Status Report
- More Research was completed to assist determine status
To regain official 501 ( c) 3 status
Awaiting Alaska PTA to File Support Docs to IRS
More than one PTA has been affected by lack of filing 990
The loss of official status has affected the Amazon Smiles
Fundraiser.
Continuing to work with Alaska PTA to rectify the EIN.Member Dues Inquiry - $6.25/member
Still determining total dues owes to Alaska PTA.
Some PTAs are required to report monthly changes to AK PTA.Budget Update - Finalized Numbers Pending
Review Income, Expenses and Forecast of Future FundsMembership Fees - PTA is Willing to waive Fees for Families.
Only voting members need to pay fees.
Old Business
November Material Distribution - Staff Feedback
Delivery of materials by Klatt PTA was appreciated.
Over 25 packets including care package items delivered.Teacher Reimbursement- (Alicia) Update form, email Alison
Hardcopy will be placed in teacher boxes then remitted to PTA
PTA agrees to reimburse for 2019-2020 school year.Teacher Support Request - Keurig Coffee, Follow up with Alison, Alicia, Create graphics for teachers (as appreciation), attend next Klatt Staff mtg for feedback.
Teacher Appreciation/ Back to School - Keurig Coffee, Can drop items
Follow up with Mary to review protocols. Food items need to be prepacked.Corporate/ Business Fundraising Update - BIngo sponsors would like to like to be one time donors. Mary will follow up with Gallos regarding long term sponsorship.
ValueVillage donated winter gear. F/U w/ Lynden & WSP.

New Business
Klatt PTA Website/ Passive Fundraising Awareness
Klatt PTA Website has been updated and being used as a communication
Tool with staff. Please use new email address klattpta@gmail.com
Former Yahoo account will be slowly phased out.
GRANTS - Rasmuson, National PTA, etc.
NEWS - Ms. Stephens is up for Teacher of the Month!Yearbooks (Abi) - Can reduce size to 16 pages & cost to $600 for 50 books.
Options for photos: Shutterfly, Drivethru, Alternate
Can get a deal with Shutterfly but parents must forward images to Lifetouch.
Can do photo drive thru event with local large organization, (large parking lot required)

Feedback from teachers - Goslide, Use Zoom pictures, Alternatives - Walgreens. (FYI - Great Originals in Anchorage can do very similar books/prints)
PTA - Gift Yearbooks to students.
Request - Review Contract with Lifetouch to see if we are obligated to make a purchase for the 2020-2021 school year.Multicultural Representation - Conversation tabled until next meeting due to time, but all were encouraged to begin thinking about ways to increase the diversity of the PTA for equitable representation of the demographic of our school.
Upcoming Events/ New Community Interactions
Next Distribution: November 19th & 20th. Thurs/Fri Times TBA
Teacher Return: Telework contracts extended through at least 2021.
Student Return: Postponed. TBD
Klatt Family Night: Postponed, Moving to Virtual
Working to put together a trivia night - will work with Chromebooks (difficultly with Bingo due to ASD chromebook limitations. Will fit within the parameters of a Title 1 family gathering and can collaborate with the PTA to provide family support through Thanksgiving meal opportunities.
Mrs. Wilhelm will use the typical allotment ($150) for the turkey shoot to purchase a couple Thanksgiving dinners to raffle off.
Next distribution - Klatt will provide information about Thanksgiving Blessing and Ibotta free Thanksgiving meals to all families.
Jessica will look into receiving some boxes from Thanksgiving Blessing to deliver to families identified by Klatt teachers who are unable to go due to work.
