Kiwanis Boone County hosted our Third Annual "Breakfast With Santa Claus" Saturday morning, December 15th.  The event was held at the Applebee's Restaurant in Florence, KY. We served almost seventy pancake meals. Santa Claus paid us a visit for the children (and adults) who came in.

December and Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army.  Several of our members and students from the Ryle Key Club shared the "Kettle" and rang the bell at Kroger's on Saturday 12/08/2018

Salvation Army's Capt. Malcolm Daniels visits our  11/13/18 meeting. He shared information about their Red Bucket Bell Ringing program and programs Salvation Army is pursuing. We plan on ringing bells December 8 for the Salvation Army.


Rob's Kids held the annual Golf Outing for 2108 at the Devou Park Golf Course 10/14/18.  A good turn out even though a rainy day. KCBC was a cart sponsor  as well as providing an auction basket and helped raise funds for the Children's Hospital Psychiatric Division.

Kiwanis of Boone County Installation ceremony October 9th presided over by Lt Governor Anette Eades representing Division 10 KT.

Kiwanis of Boone County worked at the Boone County Senior Picnic sharing our Club's objectives with almost 1,000 folks who came to the event on 9-12-18.  This event was held at the Boone County Fairgrounds.

Kiwanis Club of Boone County visits Children's Home of Northern Kentucky September 7th. Rachel Powell provides us an overview of all the great programs they are currently accomplishing for kids of Northern Kentucky and Boone County. We presented them with a donation check from the KCBC.

Barbara Scott, Steve and Chris Sturgil got together to attach all the awards we have received from Kiwanis International and KT District Kiwanis to our Kiwanis Banner.  We had fun doing this project.  Way to go to our Kiwanis Club of Boone County!

Ryle Key Club President for 2017-18 Callie Bolling was awarded the Distinguished Service Award on June 26, 2018 at a special Kiwanis evening meeting dinner at the Golden Corral Restaurant.

The Riverview-Delhi Kiwanis Club visited our May 22nd Meeting and shared with us their upcoming "Rollin on the River" Charity Car Show,  Thanks go out to Gary, David, Bob and Al for attending an InterClub Meeting.

Master Provisions, a faith based service for delivering supplies and resources directly to people living in a crisis, was represented by Jeff Schaaf at our April 10, 2018 meeting.  Jeff gave a great overview of how Master Provisions use trucks and knowledge of logistics to transport goods for organizations in need. He has worked with our own GO Pantry  and they also receive food , clothing to partner with organizations.

Kiwanis Boone County President Wesley VanWinkle celebrates a big birthday with the club on April 10th meeting. We sang Happy Birthday and enjoyed Birthday Cupcakes member Chris Sturgil brought in. Happy Birthday Wes!

Our Washington State Wine Flight held April 19th took off to great heights!  We had about 50 folks sample wines from the state of Washington and have a wonderful three course dinner to go along with the wines.  Thanks to Jean Jacobson and Steve Sturgil for sharing the Washington Experience with everyone!  We recognized the Camp Corral Organization and Rob's Kids for all their diligence for helping kids!

We attended the "Seeds of Hope Dinner" sponsored by Mentoring Plus on March 9th.  Kiwanis Boone County helps support Mentoring Plus and the Kids they mentor through their great program. The event took place at the Syndicate Restaurant in Newport and raised funds for their organization came from silent auctions, live auctions, donations and dinner.

Our guest speaker on 2-13-18  was Cheri Grinnell representing the Kentucky Science Center. She shared with us how her organization is using special programs to motivate children to learn through discovering their own curiosity while exploring the "why" of science.

Wes, Steve, Chris and Pat working the "Serve and Socialize Fair" at the BCPL on 2/13/18. We shared an understanding of what organizations in Boone County can do for its residents.

We held a "Discover Kiwanis" event on 2/22/18. Even though the weather was less than desirable, those who attended were is a great mood.  We shared snacks, stories, and learned about the history of the Boone County Kiwanis Club.
