Sailing School Director Needed

VOLUNTEER NEEDED

KPYC SAILING SCHOOL CHAIR

This position, held by a member of the club, is responsible for the oversight of the 2019 Sailing School programs.  There are four two week programs for kids (held twice a day) and four two week programs for adults (held in the evenings).  Classes begin June 24th and run until August 15th.

The primary responsibilities of the position include oversight of the three instructors and answering questions from students and parents.  The three instructors are all returning from last year.  The registration is done online and the boats are all in good shape having been overhauled last year.

Anyone interested in this position should be able to stop by the club a couple of times a week and be available at the start of each session.

This is a volunteer position that pays back in rewarding the Chair with the excitement and satisfaction of teaching students how to sail.  The three instructors are all experienced with KPYC and should require minimal oversight.  The most important part of this position is being available for parents and students who would like to speak to or email someone who is a club member.

Please go to KPYC website and view the Sailing School brochure

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to “give back” to others who are interested in becoming sailors.

For more information, please contact Groves Dinning, former Chair (j24sail@aol.com; 772-3498) or Chris Snow, Commodore (Csnow@nhpta.com; 731-3348).
