Kiddies Ideas from Nature
Nature creates living as well as non-living absolutely perfect things. Perhaps we don't understand the prime motto behind these creations. We derive another purpose and start living in the illusion of perfection. Prime purpose of eyebrows is to protect eyes from forehead sweat and not for fashion, derived by human.
Every living being is born from nature and goes back to it after death. Man grows in the materialistic world and gains experiences from it. He makes belief in the derived applications learnt from materialistic world and keeps himself away from the true purposes. He keeps searching perfect alternatives, though they are very close to him. Curtain of past experience stops him to look beyond.
Falling from top to bottom is very easy. Make the object free in air, it falls automatically under gravity. Lifting same object require energy. Nature, at any time, due to its' absolute perfection can't be challenged. These basic principles are always true.
Look up at Einstein's life style, he was fond of interacting more with young people and kids. Though neighbors kept apologized him for time wastage by their children. Einstein learnt the importance of such interactions and gained various ideas from this group.
Philosophers & inventors conceptually analyzed different matters present in the nature. They learnt various natural principles and used them for their invention. Most of the development, either use natural principles directly or in derived ways. Hot air is lighter than cold air and sufficiently high difference generates natural air circulation i.e. hot air moves up and cold air moves down. Old buildings used this natural principle by high roof buildings and locating ventilators at the top. Many scientists invented many products, theories, models and hypothesis on learning nature.
Newly born babies are near to nature. At the beginning, they have lots of curiosity to learn about wordly matters. Often we face difficulty in answering basic questions asked by our kids. These questions are really genuine. Often simple facts of life look difficult. In fact we ourselves complicates the matter and not searching simple straight way answers.
Figure-1a suggests two modes of interaction with the nature for learning and applying simple principles in our day to day lives. Though living close to nature is best, but often becomes difficult in today's world. Another practical alternative is to interact with children, as used by Einstein. Polaroid camera was invented on young daughter's demand for instant availability of photograph. Children, as they are close to nature, are good sources of ideas.
Concept of nature's learning is extended to develop analogy in the organization, human's creation (refer Figure-1b). Environment or nature is correlated with the market, which may be direct consumer, producer or educational institute. Subordinate, like kid, is close to market and gains experience to become supervisor. Conversion makes him busy in multiple activities. It keeps him away from the basic market requirements and complaints. Best signals are available at operating levels and often superiors are not reachable to them. Subordinates are close to market and are the best tentacles for catching favorable or alarming signals. Good interaction with the subordinates keeps the supervisor close to market.
Reverse is equally true. Like child have many basic queries at the beginning being not knowing many answers. They can generate ideas but difficult to invent as it requires experience too. Poor experience block subordinates to analyze the market signals and definitely require supervisor's support.
OBTs are being planned by many organizations to make their managers learn from the nature and apply in day to day operations. Success of these programs depends on the applications on regular operations. Brainstorming sessions are also one of the ways to generate multiple ideas hidden back of their minds. Good supervisors follow more interactions with the subordinates, who are close to market like sales person to customer, site engineer to plant, etc.
