l am very passionate and intentional about the financial structure my team has set up. Here are a few reasons why:

  • 1 Corinthians 9 teaches that a ministry “workman deserves his wages,” specifically as per v14, “those who proclaim the gospel should get their living by the gospel.” However, I also feel strongly that per v 12, any giving structure ought not compromise the Gospel in any way. Since Kingdom Rice is funded from people like you, an army that is mostly different than those I’m ministering to, I can freely minister & mentor anyone or any group without any pretense. In other words, I am free to serve regardless of “honorarium” amount. And I can evangelize per God’s leading, and not according to someone’s financial potential. This gives me freedom to minister to unchurched groups both in church outreaches and out on the street, and to engage in many intentional, relational evangelistic conversations. This structure allows me to separate my funding from those I minister to. Freely I've received, and freely I shall give.
  • Though we no longer live per OT times, the example of how the Levites received their wages illustrates my long-term philosophy. It’s quite simple. They received from the Lord. At the same time, Num 35 points out that the Israelites were responsible through their giving to fund the Levites. In other words, the people GAVE TO THE LORD. And the LORD PROVIDED for the LEVITES. The people did NOT give to the Levites directly. As we give, it is an act of worship, to be done cheerfully unto the Lord.
  • And as you give, I pray that “my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
