      Song Project      


1.  Students will select an organ, tissue, anatomy concept, or physiological process for investigation. 
2.  They will use at least three sources to acquire that information.
3.  Students will outline information so that all the topics are covered.  
4.  Students will include appropriate vocabulary in the outline.
5.  Students will select a song so that their facts can be put to music.
6.  Students will write a song/poem in the correct rhythm and rhyming pattern as the song. 
7.  Students will provide teacher an instrumental version of the music.
         It can be emailed to pking@hartdistrict.org in the form of an mp3, mp4, or wave file.  
         It can be burned on a CD or downloaded from a flash drive. 
8.  Students will email the following information so that it can be published on the website:
        Name of song (topic)
        Students' names
        Sung to: (name of song)
        Lyrics
9.  Make sure music and lyrics have the name of the topic and your name on it.
10.  Students will practice the song and record it in class.
11.  Songs will be presented on the website and students will vote on the Anatomy Awards.


RUBRIC:  Students will be graded on the following information:


●were all topics covered?
●was appropriate vocabulary used?
●was song easy to understand?
●was song informative?
●were deadlines followed?
●was song practiced?
●Was song entertaining?
