"BEFORE YOU REACH THEIR HEADS,

YOU HAVE TO TOUCH THEIR HEARTS."

Hi, and welcome to Mammoth Heights  Elementary. My name is Carrie Parker and I will be your child's First grade teacher. I am so excited to be teaching here at Mammoth Heights. This is such a new and interesting time for kids, everything is new and exciting to them. It is my hope to foster that love and curiosity of learning in your child. I believe that all children have the capacity to learn and I will make that journey of learning and discovery an exciting one.

I have taught Kindergarten for 17 years and First grade for one year all of that time in Douglas County. I received my Bachelors Degree from Metropolitan State College of Denver in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Sociology and more recently my Masters Degree from the University of Phoenix. I have discovered that the truly magical part of my job is watching the kids faces when they discover they are capable of so many wonderful and amazing things.

On a personal note, I  have 4 incredible yet energetic children. Bailey is eighteen years old, Emma is sixteen, Sadie is fifteen and Zackery is thirteen. We also two dogs one named Kipper and the other Roxy, a cat named baby , Cinnamon a hamster, Thomas the turtle, Roxy the tarantula, two small frogs, a gecko lizard, a tank full of fish and a hedgehog named Hedgie!

I am so excited to have your child in my class, I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year! It will be a year filled with fun and adventures!
