Dry Season Hours - April to September - Open Seven Days - Afternoons (12-5.30pm)
*2016 News - The museum will be closed during September until mid October, except for Fridays, when volunteer Barbara Grylls will be opening. This closure is so that the President can attend the RWAHS State History Conference, in early September and the Museums Australia WA conference in October, thanks to both of these organisations and to Lottery West who have provided these travel bursaries.
Weekend Afternoons [In 2015 the Kununurra Museum was opened on many weekend afternoons]
[Always dependent on volunteer availability - Most days in 2015 & 2016 were open to 5.30 pm]
All HOURS are dependent on volunteer availability - may be earlier opening or later - closing too! (Generally - If the Gate is Open we are Open ;^), or on request outside these hours.
Wet Season Hours - September to March - Work is often carried on at the museum during the wet season, so if you see a car there or the gate open and Open sign out, feel free to call in. The KHS Museum can be opened any time outside these hours by arrangement - Contact the after hours number below.
If you do not like the map I made above (for use on a Kununurra Museum Flyer - added here Boxing Day 2015), there is an accurate map to the Kununurra Museum (as KHS is registered with Google as a verified Google Place) most Google Map searches will show us in the correct place.
[Old News! In April 2015 I have inserted a map below our address. - So no need to search or as we had before, to go to the map on the KHS Facebook Page (No need - Kununurra Museum Map - Below :)
Please Note that Kununurra is one of the few places in Australia, where there are NO MAIL DELIVERIES at all IE No house has a 'letter-box' out the front - as has always been the case in the town's history, people have a Post Office Box. So when POSTING anything to KHS always be sure to use our Post Office (PO) Box Number "77" to send anything by mail to the Society. (TIA - Thanks In Advance ;^)
[When you use "View on Googe Places" or maps it usually show "Kununurra Museum" as this map did but then replaced with 72 Coolibah - Hopeless!]
