The UCSF Center for Systems and Synthetic Biology hosted a robotics workshop in collaboration with the Harvard Self-organizing Systems Research group to program a swarm of 100 small robots to simulate collective behaviors.

The UCSF Kilobot Research Group is dedicated to five key activities:

  1. Core research and development
  2. Collaborative research projects
  3. Development and access to visualization resources
  4. Outreach and training (workshops, meeting schedules, etc.)
  5. Dissemination and technology transfer

Kilobot User Group members range from secondary school students to UCSF professors who have background ranging from Systems Biology to Molecular Graphics.
