Life Cycle:   Killer Whales communicate with opposite pod members, males usually sing a mating call that impresses females. The gestation period is about ten to fourteen months.  There can be about fifteen offspring at once at birth.  Parents take care of young until reached mature age. The offspring leave their parents when they are about 15 years old.  Killer Whales live between 50-60 years old in the wild.
