Preschool Events

Preschool Events around town. These are recurring events that happen every month.

  • The Marietta Museum of History - Based on programs by the Smithsonian Institute’s Early Enrichment Center , tours will be offered to toddlers from age 3 to 5 and their parents. Different topics will be offered on the second Wednesday of every month at 10:30 a.m. and the cost is $5 per family (one adult and up to three children), additional adults and children are $5 each. We require that you reserve a spot for your toddler by calling our office Monday-Friday from 10-4 at 770-794-5710.  Reserving a spot will allow the staff to have enough items for the crafts. Thank you.

  • Southern Museum of Locomotive and Civil War History - Mommy and Me Preschool Programs -Ages 3 - 5 Years old and their caregivers. Free with museum admission. Thursdays at 10 AM and 11:30 AM. Including summer. 
  • Smith Gilbert Gardens -“GARDEN STORIES” -  Wednesday 10:30 AM - See website for dates. 
    Children aged 3 to 6 years old and their caregiver will enjoy a story on a garden-related topic. (Activities include one or more stories, dance, organized play or a topic-related arts and craft project.) Along with story time, accompanying activities will vary monthly and may include related arts, crafts, dance or organized play.
  • Fox Tale Book Shoppe in Woodstock - Children’s Story Time  is every Saturday at 11:00 am in the Children’s Room at the FoxTale Book Shoppe.  We read books appropriate for the child’s age, and there is no age limit (really).  There is a dance/sing period following the reading, followed by tattoos and stickers before the children leave. We love the kids and they have a lot of fun– We know WE do! 
  • Chattahoochee Nature Center -  - Story Time by the River - First Wednesdays of the month
  • Ages 3 - 5 CNC storytellers will encourage your child’s participation by acting out the movements and sounds of storybook characters. With nature crafts, stories, songs and your child’s participation, we’ll make the best nature stories come alive.  Free with admission. 
  • Crabapple Kroger - Grandma Snazzy 12460 Crabapple Rd, Crabapple GA - 770-740-2050 - Every Tuesday., Thursday & Friday @ 10 AM - All ages welcome Free. Information on the web is outdated but I know she is still doing it. Nonetheless, I would call before you go to confirm. Here is a review of Grandma Snazzy's story time. 
Beyond Cobb area
  • Atlanta Zoo - One Day Adventure Cubs -  Time: 10:00-11:00 a.m. on pre-set days. Cost: $18 for Members for one adult/child pair ($9 per person); $24 for Non-Members for one adult/child pair ($12 per person)
  • Zoo Atlanta - Stroller Cubs (ages 0-2) -  - 10 AM - 11 AM - Cost: $18 for Members for one adult/child pair ($9 per person); $24 for Non-Members for one adult/child pair ($12 per person);Reservations and payment required one week in advance.

  • Champion Kids - offers Preschool gymnastics, Parent tot gymnastics, music time, art time, Thunderbolts Cheer, Dance. Check their calendar for the times/dates.Also has Open Play every day.  Located in Marietta GA off Sandy Plains Road
  • Catch Air - Marietta, GA (near Town Center) - Indoor play place -Walk-ins are always welcome during normal business hours  Children 2 and under: $10 ($11 on weekends & holidays) plus tax    Children 3 to 12: $13 ($14 on weekend & holidays) plus tax

  • Bounce U - Kennesaw, GA   
    • Toddler Time -Adults play free with paid child $5.00 Per Child Ages 12mo. - 3 years only  Visit our Calendar for Times

  • Monkey Joes - Kennesaw GA - near Town Center - Designated play areas for kids 2-12 years-old, featuring jumps, slides, climbing walls, and games Mini Monkey Zone for 3 year-olds and younger featuring games, puzzles, and soft landing areas so you can easily supervise your little ones. Make sure to bring socks for your kids
  • Chuck E. Cheese - Barrett Parkway (Near Town Center) -  Coupons online.  Serves food and drink. Cost is one coin per ride/game. Online coupon is usually 100 coins for $20.00

  • East Cobb Park - has a lower and upper playground, large field, pavilions you can reserve for free, hiking trails, creek and several family friendly events throughout the year. 
  • Laurel Park - duck pond, play field, sand volleyball court 
  • Swift Cantrell Park - two age appropriate playgrounds, a dog park,skate spot, three picnic pavilions, trails
  • Sewell Park -  2055 Lower Roswell Road -  pavilion, Playground, 5 Baseball fields, 2 Concession buildings, 3 Baseball fields, 4 Tennis courts, Batting cages, Outdoor swimming pool, Walking trail
  • Whitaker Park - off Sandy Plains, has a cover over one of the playgrounds for shade

Woodstock, GA 
  • Kidzstock - First Baptist Church of Woodstock - This playground is open to the public and is located on the FBCW campus. Open daily from 8 AM - Dark. Closed occasionally for cleaning and events.
  • Dupree Park - Off Neese Road in Woodstock - Great park and also a great back up if you discover Kidstock is closed - large playground (bonus for moms with multiple kids - you can stand in one place and see ALL the playground. Woo hoo); pond with ducks; great picnic areas
