Discounts - Every one loves a good discount! 
    • Teacher Supply Store -  located in or near the city of Marietta in a warehouse. They have events throughout the year where you can get FREE school supplies.  Just show up (an hour or two before start time at least for the August one) and present your DOI and driver's license. Bring your own bags. And some cash as there are sometimes really great deals on larger items (printers, binder machines, whiteboards that have a low cost) 
    • Cobb County Library  Educator Card -  Show your license and your declaration of intent and receive a free educator card.  The educator card allows you to borrow children's book for the maximum amount of time of 9 weeks without having to renew.  There is no renewal on them so make sure you get the books back in time! 
    • 2nd & Charles -  Amazing used bookstore on Barrett Parkway near Town Center  and if you show your DOI, you get a 10% discount.  Hint: Some people snap a pic of their DOI and leave it on their phone. 
    • Lakeshore Learning - Join the Teacher's Club to receive an additional 15% on hundreds of in store items 
    • Barnes & Noble
      Homeschooling parents are eligible by providing a photo ID and a letter with the following information: Family name and address; Name of homeschooling parent(s); Grade level of each child being homeschooled. Barnes & Noble offers pre-k-12 educators, librarians, and homeschoolers a 20% discount off the publisher’s list price on select items that we consider suitable for use in the classroom or with the student population, including most hardcover and paperback books, toys, and games. In store only. Online, join the Kids Club for online and store discounts.
    • Michaels - 15% off entire purchase everyday. Products designed for the classroom. Some exclusions apply. See a store associate for details. Available in store only.
    • Discounts Available through the Cobb County Library  -  Get free passes through the library for Zoo Atlanta, State Parks and Historic Sites (statewide), Michael C. Carlos Museum at Emory,  Passport to Puppetry at Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta,  The Southern Museum in Kennesaw,  Go Fish Education Center in Perry GA
Discounts for Kids for Reading 
  • Six Flags Read to Succeed -  One free ticket for students K - 6th grade to be used in Summer.  Deadline to log register is March 1st. 
  • Pizza Hut Book It Program -  Free personal pan pizza each month for students K-6th grade (ages 5-12 by Sept 1st) - Coupon booklet for October through March
  • Atlanta Braves Home Run Readers Program - Summer Reading Program - Grades K-12. Complete one activity online and read 1 sports related book. Receive a free Braves ticket. 
  • Atlanta Hawks Check it Out Reading ProgramStudents in grades K-12 who successfully read at least five books will receive:
    A Check it Out Reading Challenge bookmark (while supplies last)
    A free youth ticket with the purchase of at least 1 adult ticket to a 2017-18 Atlanta Hawks regular season game
  • Atlanta Gladiators -  Students K-12. Check out and read 3 books from the library and receive a free ticket with purchase of adult ticket.  Deadline to submit is usually in mid September. 

Special Events for Homeschooling Parents 
  • Georgia Aquarium Educator Day -   Usually the last Saturday in August.  Check in is from 8 AM - 12 PM and the educator receives a wristband that will allow the educator plus one guest  to enter for free that day the Georgia Aquarium, The Coca Cola Museum, and The Center for Human Rights. Registration starts in late May/early June and fills up VERY quickly! 
  • Fernbank Educator Appreciation Night Reservations required   Educators enjoy a special FREE evening at Martinis & IMAX®!*   Additional tickets for guests may be purchased.  In previous years, it has been in April and has allowed homeschoolers. Always double check. 
  • Stone Mountain Educator Appreciation - Select weeks throughout the year.  Stone Mountain Park is offering educators 1 complimentary Adventure Pass and the opportunity to purchase additional Adventure Passes at a discounted rate of $21 plus tax. This offer is limited to 6 accompanying family members.
