Christian Homeschool Schools/Elective Classes

  • Classical Conversations (National program) - We believe that every child is uniquely and wonderfully made and that parents can be the best teachers for their children. Through our Foundations, Essentials, and Challenge programs, we support parents and students along the journey of homeschooling.

    • Marietta - Foundations (ages 4 through 6th Grade) and Essentials (4th - 6th Graders) available. Also providing a Challenge A and Challenge B. Registrations is now open. Meets on Tuesdays at Powers Ferry United Methodist Church. Contact Tina Savasuk for more information.

  • King's Academy - Grades K - 12; Mon/Wed or Tues/Fri - Full curriculum/hybrid school. As a student at The King’s Academy, your child will be in classroom instruction for 12 hours a week in Literature, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Mathematics, Computer, Spanish, Art and Music. The School Teacher will provide the student with assignments that build continuity into the program

  • Great Oak Academy- provides a nurturing environment where students explore God's beautiful creation through hands-on science experiments and activities in a fully-equipped science lab.  Great Oak Academy is located between Roswell, Marietta, and Woodstock, GA near Highway 92 and Sandy Plains Rd.

  • Living Science - Woodstock, GA - K -12 - A Christ-centered, educational home school study center where discipleship is the foundation for all learning. We provide a comprehensive creation-based education for students that helps them discover God’s divine design in the world, while transforming families and the community.

  • Classical School - East Cobb/Roswell - One day a week - The Grammar Stage - For grades 3 and 4.Includes history, literature, English grammar, writing, introduction to Latin, and math enrichment.  The Dialectic Stage - Grades 5 through 8 - Includes history, literature, Bible studies, Logic, Latin, English grammar, and worldview studies.  The Rhetoric Stage - High school - Small group tutorials focusing on in-depth studies in history, literature, theology, economics and government.

  • Cordis Academy - Marietta, GA 30060 - Tuesdays & Thursdays; 9:00 - 3:00 - K-12 Offering academic classes: Bible, Language Arts, Math, Science, History, Spanish, French.  At Cordis Academy, we offer the students the opportunity to be educated in a Creative Classical Education environment which uses history and classic literature as a framework behind all of the academic subjects while taught with a biblical worldview.  Cordis Academy uses a creative classroom teaching style which encourages deductive reasoning skills and engaging student interactions.

  • First Baptist Church of Woodstock - Timothy Ministry - The Timothy Ministry is a lay ministry of the First Baptist Church of Woodstock. We want to partner with the home school parent who wishes to supplement their home education with enrichment and academic classes. The Timothy Ministry is a home school support ministry -- not a full-time school. The Timothy Ministry meets on Tuesdays only and has two, 14-week sessions each year: fall and spring. Classes are available for grades K – 12th.

  • Johnson Ferry Baptist Church - Timothy Ministry - Our classes meet once a week on Mondays during the session, from 9 a.m. - 2:25 p.m. Students grades 1-5 may choose up to 5 consecutive classes to attend. Wednesday classes are available during Women's Bible Studies, 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Tuition is per class. Students are required to wear a Timothy Ministry t-shirt to class, which is included in the registration fee.

  • HEDGE - Home Educators Devoted to Growth and Development - Woodstock, GA -comprehensive, integrated-study cooperative class format. Classes meet on Mondays and Thursdays during the academic year at CrossRoads Community Church, 2317 Bascomb Carmel Road, in Woodstock, Georgia 30189

  • CHAT - Christians Homeschoolers assembling together - Cartersville, GA - A Christian homeschool co-op designed to reinforce and enhance homeschooling in Bartow county and surrounding areas.

  • True North Homeschool - Kennesaw, GA - christian homeschool organization offering enrichment classes to support homeschool families. Grades K-12.

  • Inspire Homeschool Academy - Marietta (West Cobb Church) -  Students Grades 3-12.  Classes at Inspire meet one day a week – Tuesday All Classes at Inspire run September through May, not by semester.  We are not a private school, a co-op, or a hybrid. We are a PARTNERSHIP where the parent maintains control of the child's education. Imagine a school where artists and musicians, engineers and writers, dancers and actors are all under one roof learning together, sharing concepts... Inspiring each other with their thoughts and ideas.

  • Richards Christian Academy - Marietta GA (Allgood Road) - Looking for the personalized experience of a private Christian school with the flexibility of homeschooling? Then you have come to the right place. Richards Christian Academy is committed to academic and creative excellence. We are an accredited program located in Marietta. At Richards Christian Academy we center on the needs of our students. From kindergarten through high school we provide high quality education. Our entire staff offers caring support to families that choose home education.

  • Compass Prep - Woodstock, GA  - unique educational program designed to help students identify their gifts and pursue their particular calling. Our program accepts all types of students ranging from those who are college bound to those who have special needs. Compass Prep Academy is hybrid Tuesday/Thursday school, with a Wednesday option for Art and Foreign Language.They offer Pre-School - 12th grade. Their high school is Fully Accredited through GAC.

  • Canton Homeschool Resources - Canton, GA - K - 12th Grade -  individualized hands-on, activity based curriculum at affordable prices for grades K-12 in our little yellow schoolhouse in downtown Canton.  We invite your child to join us 1-5 days a week in our hybrid homeschool program, a la carte classes, independent study, high school credit recovery, tutoring, or summer camps. We customize our program to meet the individual needs of our families and students. All academic classes are taught by certified teachers.Our curriculum is a mix of both Christian-based and secular material, but our focus is on academics. We accept students from all faiths and do not require a declaration of faith statement

  • Arrow's Academy -  Acworth, GA - Arrows Academy offers homeschool families like yours an affordable option for providing your students with structured support from experienced teachers and staff. Our Tuesday and Wednesday classes for 1st - 8th graders will cover most of the core requirements of your curriculum and leave you with the flexibility to set your own schedule the rest of the week. Our goal is to help you find a balance of God, family, and academics in your homeschool schedule. Our teachers will guide you through the curriculum so you can be assured that your students are learning everything they need each school year and are prepared, like arrows, for the goals set before them.


Non Traditional School options

Cornertstone Prep Academy - K-12 Fully Accredited School following the University-Model®  - Students will receive professional instruction by highly qualified and degreed instructors, and then study for their classes independently under a parent’s guidance. The immediate goal is a quality, cost-effective, college preparatory education, set in a Christian environment For the 2015-2016 school year, Cornerstone Prep is pleased to announce we will be moving into our new campus home located at 3588 Hickory Grove Road, Acworth, GA 30101

Johnson Ferry Christian Academy -  JFCA is not a homeschool program. Rather it is an accredited program with a non traditional schedule (meets Tuesday and Friday). The vision of the ministry is to provide a Christ-centered, accredited program of excellence. JFCA offers a college preparatory program and is a ministry of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church.  Johnson Ferry Christian Academy is accredited through Georgia Accrediting Commission, Inc.  JFCA has students in 5th through 12th grade.
