Have you ever dreamed of paddling down a river all the way from its beginning to its end?

Well, the Kansas Riverkeeper, Laura Calwell,  did just that. She kayaked all the way from the beginning of the Kansas River in Junction City, to the end of the Kansas River in Kansas City, where the river runs into the Missouri River. That's 171 miles! It took 11 days (plus one). She camped on sandbars the whole way down the river, met tent toads, had a party, and saw the entire amazing river.

You can download the map of the river used in this presentation by going to "attachments" at the bottom of the page and downloading the map. Use your map to follow along. Can you find where the river begins and ends? Is your house on the Riverkeeper's route down the river?

See you on the river!
