Research Fields
My research area is interdisciplinary comprehensive science that includes disciplines like Social / informatics, Biomedical Engineering, and Bio-informatics. Major research fields include image understanding, machine learning, and computer vision. Current research interests include image/video analysis for Bio-medical applications. Specific focus is involved on image enhancement, noise reduction, feature extraction (texture, color, and shape), objects segmentation and classification, and object tracking from four dimensional microscopy images for Biological applications. Other recent works involve segmentation, registration, and stitching of medical images (Wireless Capsule Endoscopy Video Images, Computed Tomography (CT) images) for medical applications and welfare engineering. Some past works include image texture segmentation, content-based image indexing and retrieval, passive detection of visual media tampering; design, development and analysis of reliable web applications etc.
