Khaqan Majeed was born in Faisalabad, Pakistan. He received the B.Sc. degree (First Division with Honors) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan, in Aug, 2009, and the M.S. degree from the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, in May, 2014. He is now a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE), McMaster University, Hamilton, ON, Canada, where he is pursuing his Ph.D. under the mentorship of Dr. Steve Hranilovic (Ph.D., University of Toronto). His research work is related to visible light indoor positioning.
He completed his M.S. thesis under the mentorship of Dr. Sameh O. Sorour (Ph.D., University of Toronto) and Dr. Tareq Y. Al-Naffouri (Ph.D., Stanford University). His M.S. research work was focused on fingerprinting based indoor localization using Wi-Fi. Interested readers can navigate to Research and Publications for further details on his research work.
