CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability) #
The Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing & Disability) is delivered as part of a Supported Pathway Program, whereby Vocational English relevant to aged care and disability; study skills, digital literacy and assignment support are embedded in the vocational training course.
Students are assessed pre-training and put into small groups based on their learning support needs. After agreeing to an individual training plan, students then progress through their learning journey with the help of their teacher providing ‘wrap around’ services of the Supported Pathway Program. This may include additional Vocational English lessons, homework support, alternative mode of delivery/assessment and individual study support based on identified needs.

Pathway to Vocational Training
Keysborough Learning Centre as a Learn Local RTO has recently developed an education offering aligned to foundations skills specifically delivered for Low-Literacy Refugee Background students.
This model focuses on a series of pre-accredited modules forming a pathway to vocational training or employment outcomes include:
· Individualized and intensive literacy training for Low Literacy Refugee Background (LLRB) students, particularly women.
· Intensive Pre-Vocational English Pathway Program
· Orientation to Individual Support (Ageing & Disability work)

Plan Your Own Business [using Intel Easy Steps Program]
Brainstorm ideas for a small business, develop a business idea utilising skills in MS Word, create a mind map for your business idea and create a spreadsheet using MS Excel to budget for start-up costs and Projected Cash Flow, Create a Marketing Plan using MS, PowerPoint and a Sales Presentation.

First Aid - HLTAID001 - CPR #
Provide Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, must be renewed annually. This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. An EpiPen update is included.
First Aid - HLTAID003 - Provide First Aid #
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
Note - You are required to read the First Aid booklet and complete a questionnaire before attending the First Aid course. Bring the completed questionnaire with you to the class and give it to the teacher.
First Aid - HLTAID004 - Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Educational and Care Setting #
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response
to infants, children and adults. The unit applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies. This unit of competency may contribute towards approved first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training under the Education and Care Services National Law, and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).
Note - You are required to read the First Aid booklet and complete a questionnaire before attending the First Aid course. Bring the completed questionnaire with you to the class and give it to the tutor.
