Self-care; Practical Steps for Coping

Keysborough Learning Centre (KLC) is pleased to be partnering with Beyond Blue (bb) to deliver a FREE four week self-care program.

This program has been designed by and will be delivered by a bbConnect mentor – learning how to self-care we can develop the skills to cope with life, work and relationships. Themes: self-esteem, relaxation, problem solving, setting goals, gratitude.

Gardening at KLC

A volunteer opportunity for anyone interested in doing some light gardening work, keeping the grounds of KLC looking beautiful. Existing volunteer works on Monday and Tuesday and would welcome assistance.

Financial Counselling - Free Service

This service is provided by the Springvale Community Aid and Advice Bureau. Financial counsellors can help with debts that you are struggling to pay, budgeting support and generally assist you to manage your finances.

Cyrene Centre - An Initiative of the Dandenong Catholic Deanery

The Cyrene Centre specialises in providing counselling and support for all families with substance abuse issues. The Centre is staffed by fully registered and qualified psychologists. The counselling at the Centre is available to all people free of charge.

The Centre operates from parish offices within the Dandenong Deanery - to book an appointment please call 0401 278 669. Counselling is confidential.

Public Access to Computers/Internet

Community access to the internet and computers.

Available: Monday to Fridays - 9.00am - 4.30pm

$1 per hour. Bookings Essential.

Free access for Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Health Card Holders.

Computer Tutoring

Free Computer Tutoring. Volunteer tutors provide "hands on" training to seniors and people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds who have little or no experience with computers. The program provides an opportunity to learn basic computer skills including how to access the internet, social networking, emailing, working with pictures etc.

Women's Craft and Friendship Circle

Don't sit at home!

Learn and share skills, pop in for a cuppa and chat while you work on your knitting or craft project or help with one of our charity projects. Meet new friends and share afternoon tea together.

All welcome! $2 donation per week covers the purchase of materials.

Weight control support group. Meets weekly for mutual support, diet and exercise information available. Manage your weight in a friendly environment.

Breast Cancer Support Group

Get together, support each other, have fun and join in other activities. The Breast Nurse usually attends each session.
