Keweenaw Garden Club

Welcome to the Keweenaw Garden Club website! Members of the Keweenaw Garden Club share a passion for gardening and other nature-related topics. We look forward to seeing you in the coming year!

Mission

The mission of the Keweenaw Garden Club is to encourage a greater interest in gardening and conservation, to provide horticultural education to both members and the community, and to promote community outreach. Our inaugural meeting was in June 2013.

Activities

We are engaged in two types of activities at this time:

  • Public monthly presentations - We schedule garden and nature-related speakers to present from September through May. These events are open to the public and are held on third Mondays at the Portage Lake District Library at 6:30pm.
  • Garden Gnomads - We also have a sub-group for club members that provides opportunities to visit local gardens and garden-related businesses during the warm-weather months.

Additional activities, sub-groups, and events may be added in the future depending on the interests of members.
