My name is Kevin Monaghan and I am a Ph.D. student in the Mobile and Internet SysTems (MIST) Lab in the Department of Computer Science, Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan.

My advisor is Professor Weisong Shi.  My research is focusing on security and adaptive privacy and its application to Services Computing.  I am a second year student and I have great support from my advisor and other lab members.

Being a Ph.D. student is a little like being all seven of the dwarfs:

"In the beginning you're Dopey and Bashful.  In the middle you are usually sick (Sneezy), tired (Sleepy), and irritable (Grumpy).  But in the end, they call you Doc, and then you're Happy."
