Ethnic Liaison Officers (ELO)/ Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans* (LGBT) Liaison Officers  within Kerry

The Garda Siochana have a number of liaison officers for dealing with issues that members of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Trans community may have.

If you have been a victim of a crime, hate crime, harassment, or prejudice due to your status (L/G/B/T(Trans*) you should report it immediately.

While you may be reluctant to report incidents to the Gardaí due to the perception that your status will become the issue rather then the incident itself, we would strongly encourage you to contact them.

It is essential that you are honest and accurate when reporting an incident.

Any information you give to the Gardaí will be treated confidentially and should not be disclosed to a third party without your permission.

There are number of Garda liaison officers that you can contact when reporting any incident. These officers have been trained in dealing with the types of crime that can occur within the Gay, Lesbian and (Trans/Gender Identity Disorder) communities. In Kerry you may contact any of the Community Gardaí.
