Feedback from audience members after our concert of Haydn's Creation in Salomons Victorian Theatre, November 8th, 2015.
'I’m writing to congratulate all of you who took part yesterday. It was quite marvellous, indeed spine tingling in places and I spent quite a lot of time sitting on the edge of my seat. From my own particular angle, The Kent Chorus is a fantastic choir – the enthusiasm, energy and teamwork is palpable.'
'The choir and orchestra were sounding particularly fine; and Lesley-Jane did a magnificent job.'
'I thought the concert yesterday was just fab! The choir sounded tight and exciting and the soloists were all excellent.'
'The performance was amazing. I lost count of the ‘spine tingling’ moments. Congratulations to you and Kent Chorus for a wonderful concert. It was a joy to meet up with members of Kent Chorus again; they are a very friendly bunch!!'
Comments on our performance of Handel's Messiah:
"As far as I was concerned it was easily the best amateur choral sound I have ever heard in all of the High Weald. A singing group, with such an enviable low average age has not been around for decades and a musical teen & twenty, listening to that performance, would surely want to join the Choir". Jared Armstrong, musicologist and conductor
Notes from the Musical Director on 2014/2015 season:
2014/15 season has been exciting and successful. The Autumn term consisted of Royal Dutch Orpheus Choir's visit and a joint concert in September 2014, a concert of Mozart's C Minor Mass at Salomon's in November, and a candle-lit Christmas concert in Frant Church, Kent. Our Spring 2015 concert was Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle in Pamoja Hall, Sevenoaks. In May, we made a 4-day tour to Nijmegen, Holland, where we participated in the 70th Anniversary Celebrations for the Liberation by taking part in a joint concert with a German Male choir and with our hosts, The Royal Dutch Orpheus Choir.
The Summer Concert, 'Tunbridge Wells Summer Sing', was a joint concert with Beechwood School in celebration of their Centenary Year.
Photographs of the Holland Tour can be found at the end of Previous Concerts

Comments on our recent performance of Brahms German Requiem:
"In just under three years, Kent Chorus has grown in both membership and performing ability. Indeed, both this keen group of singers and the orchestral musicians, under the inspirational direction of Richard Jenkinson, are once again to be warmly congratulated on music-making of the highest standard. In fact, it is no exaggeration to say that the performances would have sat very comfortably on the stage of the Royal Albert Hall or on the digital airwaves." Stuart Fifield - Reviewer
