Kathryn Elizabeth Millan was a young woman dedicated to education, community service and co-curricular activities. In her short lifetime she was able to do so much for her community and her school, while still maintaining good academic standing. This scholarship is for deserving students in Kathryn’s memory.

2011 Graduation Season is in full force and for the 10th consecutive year members of the Millan Family have crisscrossed greater Los Angeles to deliver Katie's message of love, hope, and service to graduating High School students. Along the way they bring tokens of Katie's memory in form of Scholarships for continuing education.
Katie's sister, KEMMF Scholarship Chair Jessica Millan Patterson shares that in selecting scholarship recipients "grades and activities are important but service is most often what we look to as the deciding factor".
Pictured right are KEMMF founders Frank and Julie Millan with Montebello high school recipients of the KEMMF. scholarships Angela Alexanian and Alyson Alvarez. Both girls will be attending U C Berkley in the fall. Julie Millan reports that both are "fantastic young women who have already Paid it Forward in their community and will continue to represent MHS and KEMMF in an awesome way. We are proud they were our choices."
Katie's siblings Frank, Jessica, and Bridgette have taken up the charge this June. All have visited local high schools and presented scholarships in the memory of their sister. Pictured left Frank and Bridgette Millan with Kenny from Wilson High School in Hacienda Heights.
