About Us

Kelton Shipman was born and raised in Mesquite, Texas. He got involved with Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship as a freshman at the University of Texas - Arlington. Shortly after, God radically changed Kelton's path in life and called him into the ministry. In 2005, Kelton graduated with his Bachelor's degree in Music Media. After graduation, Kelton and Shauna moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas to complete a year-long Campus-Missionary-in-Training internship program at the University of Arkansas. Coming back to Arlington, they joined the UTA Chi Alpha team and have faithfully served alongside Stephen and Jane Deal in full-time ministry since August 2006. In 2009, Kelton pioneered UTA's first "sister" Chi Alpha at the Southeast Campus of Tarrant County College in Arlington. Kelton will be ordained through the North Texas District of the Assemblies of God in June 2012.

Shauna grew up in Arlington, Texas. She has a Bachelor's degree in Spanish from the University of Texas - Arlington and a Master's degree in TESOL from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale, where she also completed her CMIT internship.

Kelton and Shauna met in Chi Alpha and were married in May 2003. They have three wonderful children, Jaden, Jillian and Brenden. Together they have a God-given desire to see young adults transformed through the power of Jesus Christ and to empower students to impact the campus with the Gospel.
