Public Service
Purpose
Many services which are required by our citizens must be provided by government, corporate and volunteer agencies. This committee must be aware of all public services available in the community, be concerned with their efficient operation and justified expansion, and work toward the establishment of additional services.

2017 Goals and Objectives
1. Support Hose Company #4.
2. Support Harrisonburg Rescue Squad.
3. Support Harrisonburg-Rockingham Free Clinic.
4. Sponsor the annual family picnic in July.
5. Sponsor the annual rabies clinic in conjunction with the 4-H Club.
6. Sponsor Club program from Fish & Game Department
7. Maintain grounds, facility, and lighting for Little League and Farm League Baseball Programs.
8. Provide transportation for sick, elderly for medical care, church services, and recreation.
9. Support/Volunteer for Blood Bank with blood donations
10. Support Ruritan National Operation We Care
11. Support District 9 Dictionary Project and distribute dictionaries at local elementary schools
12. Provide facility and support community events for Keezletown Light Commission, Keezletown United Methodist Church, and other community
organizations.
13. Support Cub Run Elementary Outreach Program
14. Support and sponsor Community Yardsale on Ruritan grounds two (2)times a year (spring and fall).
15. Support Open Doors (Church Assistance to Homeless)
16. Support Stop Hunger Now
17. Support American Blood Services (monetary contribution and sponsor blood drive)
18. Support organization with respect to “National Forest Fires” either prevention or assistance after a fire.
