Biography

I am an assistant professor of computational biology in the Department of Human Genetics, Radoud University Medical Center, Nijmegen and in the Department of Molecular Developmental Biology at the Radboud Insitute for Molecular Life Science and Faculty of Science of Radboud University.

I was a post-doc at Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute (Hinxton) and the department of Haematology, University of Cambridge from 2008-2012. Here I developed  algorithms for detection of indel variation in sequencing data and analyzed exome sequence data for rare haematological disorders.  I obtained my PhD degree under the supervision of Bert Kappen at Radboud University Nijmegen. The title of my PhD thesis is "Approximate Inference Methods for Genetic Linkage Analysis"
