Mission Statement:
The mission of the Keene Education Association is to promote the welfare of and professional opportunities for the membership through advocacy and unity.

The purpose of the KEA (as stated in the By-Laws):

1) The purpose of the Association is to work for the welfare of school children, the advancement of education, and the improvement of instructional opportunities for all.

2) The purpose of the Association is to unify and strengthen the  teaching profession and to secure and maintain salaries, retirement, professional security, sick leave, and other working conditions necessary to support teaching as a profession.

3) The purpose of the Association is to develop and promote the adoption of such ethical practices, personnel policies, and standards for preparation and participation as mark a profession.

4) The purpose of the Association is to enable members to speak with a common voice on matters pertaining to the teaching profession and to present their individual and collective interests before the Board of Education and other legal authorities.

5) The purpose of the Association is to hold and allocate funds for the attainment of these purposes.

6) The purpose of the Association is to do all such acts as are necessary and convenient to attain the objectives and purposes herein set forth to the same extent and as fully as any natural person could, or might do, as long as the same is not forbidden by law, or by the Constitution, Articles of Agreement, or the By-Laws of this Association.
